What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Each week Lillie McFerrin will post a one word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt word. The word does not have to appear in your five sentences, just use it for direction.

This weeks word is Moments.

Every one always said that as you dies your life flashed before your eyes.

But for Billie it wasn't like that. Instead it was more like a series of stills, the moment suspended in time until the next one took its place.

Logically, he knew it had to be happening quicker than that, but time had seemed to slow.

Achingly slowly the truck bore down on him as his bike skidded across the wet road.

Another moment suspended in time.
